To Expose a Quick Search in the Search Tab
In order for a quick search to be exposed in Search tab, it must be placed in a folder within the Quick Search node of the Manage (Quick and Extended Searches) tree as shown in the following image.

Select the Quick Search folder, or a child of this folder.
The Folder form displays in the Content pane.
- Expand the Reports topic and click the Query Reports link.
- Expand the Search tab to display the extended search form.
- Set Type to QuickSearch, enter any other relevant criteria, and then click the Search icon to run the search.
- Drag the quick search you want from the search results into the Reports topic.
